Melbourne Analytical Geochemistry—MAG—builds on over 20 years of experience in trace element and isotope geochemistry research and development. In addition to our own endeavours and internal collaboration, we conduct collaborative external research as well as fee-for-service analyses. We conduct analyses on a wide array of materials, including (non-exhaustive): water, soil, rocks, plant matter and animal biological matter, as well as on more complex sample types such as economic/agricultural products and resources. Applications for these analyses span geochemistry and geochronology, biological and a-biological process tracing, modern and paleo-forensics, all the way to disease research and diagnosis. We keep an open mind to new approaches and challenges, and work heavily in R&D as well. We conduct research with Universities, government bodies, industry, commercial laboratories, consultancy companies (e.g. environmental, archaeological, agricultural, exploration), and more.
