Metavil was founded in 1977 with the main purpose of develop and produce moulds for the glass industry.
Since then and based on a business philosophy of continuous improvement, Metavil has invested in the development of it´s know how, in the improvement of methods and work processes, and in finding the most appropriate technology that allows the company to be a reliable partner to all it´s costumers.
Late in the 80´s the company started also to develop and produce moulds for plastic packaging. The two businesses run today side by side in the 2 production units located in Marinha Grande - Portugal
