• Microfluidics for point-of-care (PoC) diagnostic devices.
• Microfluidic technology for rapid and effective detection of food allergens, detection of viral infections, or tumors (cancer).
• In-house fabrication of microfluidic chips by: 3D Printing & Bioprinting, and injection molding.
Studies include: conceptualization, formulation of nanomedicines, manufacturing of chips by 3D printing & Bioprinting technologies, advanced physicochemical characterization, computational modelling (e.g., Finite Element Analysis (FEA), Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)), in vivo, ex vivo, and in vitro evaluation.
Our Lab, has been recognized as world leaders in Microfluidics. PubMed-based algorithms placed us in the top 0.07% of scholars in the world writing about Microfluidics, over the past 10 years.
The lab has achieved a high level of sustainability by successfully implementing the recommendations in the Laboratory Efficiency Assessment Framework (LEAF) pilot program and has been recognized for its efforts with a Gold Award.
