MindforYou is a Charitable Community Benefit Society opening the world of holidays and leisure to people affected by various forms of dementia, their family and friends. We are the only company in the UK and Europe providing year round dementia holidays.
Our guests want to continue to enjoy their love of travel and holidays, but for a multitude of reasons feel limited in their ability to do so.
MindforYou offers bespoke, high quality, non-stigmatizing, dignified travel and holiday experiences rarely found in the mainstream holiday and travel sector.
The company was founded in 2015 in response to personal experience of dementia. Our founders mother was diagnosed with dementia in 2007 and mother-in-law in 2010. The impact of caring for both of them and particularly the lack of inclusive holiday provisions impacted on their quality of life to a significant degree.
At MindforYou every member of our highly skilled team is passionate about opening up the world of travel and holidays for people living with dementia. Where conventional and professional approaches infer “you can’t”, we categorically say “you certainly can”. For us at MindforYou it is all about giving hope, bringing joy, and re-building self-esteem in the face of a life-changing diagnosis.
