Mindful Mammoth is an independent design and development studio specializing in interaction design and serious game design.
We design and develop games that address serious issues in a playful and engaging manner, and offer design and development services to organizations in need of additional expertise.
We have particular expertise in the fields of science and math education, and can provide in-house expert support for most math and science content. If you have a need that requires a different sort of expertise, we can work with content experts on your own staff, or recruit outside experts to generate and validate game content.
The studio was founded in 2013 by Tim Handley - scientist, educator, gamer, and dreamer. Tim has degrees in both physics and ecology. He has worked as a member of technical staff at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory, and as an ecologist at the National Park Service. He now works as a combination educator and designer, developing activities and games to promote the understanding and appreciation of science, nature, and life through play.
