Creating a clear path to mental health through early intervention and effective treatment of psychosis across Connecticut. A STEP Learning Collaborative initiative hosted by the Specialized Treatment Early in Psychosis (STEP) clinic at Yale University Department of Psychiatry (or Yale School of Medicine) and supported by the Connecticut State Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS), Mindmap 2.0 aims to help more teens and young adults (ages 16-35) receive early detection and treatment of psychosis by calling STEP’s confidential, confidential referral phone number – 203-200-0140. Callers will be asked for basic information and receive a call back from one of STEP’s Early Detection Assessment Coordinators (EDACs) to screen for symptoms of psychosis and connect to one of several statewide Local Mental Health Authorities (LHMA), which are operated and/or funded by DMHAS and accept and provide mental health services to every individual who qualifies.
