Hi! Our names are Lua Varner and Marina Caobianco. We are the co-founders of MindShield, a real time detection device for concussion risk.

By integrating AI-powered analytics with wearable technology, we provide real-time, objective assessments of head impact exposure, giving athletes, coaches, and medical staff immediate insights into concussion risk. This shift from reactive to proactive care helps prevent repeated injuries, supports safer return-to-play decisions, and generates high-quality data that would have the ability to support long-term research. Beyond individual health benefits, our platform has the power to influence safety standards, inform policy, and bring transparency to an issue that has been hidden for too long. By closing the gap in concussion detection, we are not just solving a technological problem, we are helping to repair the credibility and accountability of sports culture itself.
