We need to drastically accelerate climate solutions. This includes policy-making, research, technologies, market development, and investments. As part of that, we need as many “working hands” as possible pitching in on the climate problem, and Israel is a fertile ground for such work.
As such, we’re launching the Mitaklemim Slack Community. This community will be open to anyone looking to work on climate. It will open up opportunities for collaboration and bring people from similar and different domains closer together so that they’re more approachable to others needing helping.
We would like the community to grow organically. As the community develops, we may invest in additional resources like lectures, events, and a website with additional information.
There are already great communities out there like MCJ and WorkOnClimate (which you should definitely consider joining), but they’re international and are therefore less approachable. We hope that Mitaklemim will provide a home for all collaborative climate activities in Israel.
