De Martin Luther Kingschool is een school in Maartensdijk, vlakbij Utrecht. De “droom” van Martin Luther King is voor ons een belangrijke inspiratiebron, waarbij ieder kind uniek is en mag zijn wie hij, of zij is.
De Martin Luther Kingschool biedt de kinderen een brede ontwikkeling. Het onderwijs is zodanig ingericht dat naast de cognitieve ook de sociaal-emotionele, de creatieve en de motorische ontwikkeling gestimuleerd worden. Daarbij zijn de kinderen in toenemende mate verantwoordelijk voor hun eigen ontwikkeling.
Wij voeren met alle kinderen twee keer per jaar een kindgesprek. Daarnaast voeren, in de bovenbouw, leerkrachten én ouders de rapportgesprekken samen mét de kinderen. Wij geven ons onderwijs vorm vanuit de volgende kernwaarden:
- Verbinding: vertrouwen in verbondenheid.
- Ambitie: een collectieve ambitie zorgt ervoor dat
een organisatie het verschil maakt.
- Bevlogen: de cultuur van de school is voelbaar als je de school binnen stapt en leerkrachten en leerlingen ziet werken.
