MOTOGEN Company established in 1973, started its activity by name of Iran GOULD ELECTRIC to manufacture evaporative cooler motors under the license of American WESTING-HOUSE by mutual investment of Sanaat-o-Maadan Bank and Industrial Development and Renovation Organization of Iran. The company has been located in West Industrial zone of Tabriz city, in the vicinity of Mashin Sazi Tabriz.
In 1975, after purchasing the shares of this company by Industrial Development and Renovation Organization of Iran, the name changed to MOTOGEN and the factory became separated from Mashin Sazi as an independent company in its current location.
In 1985, MOTOGEN started to manufacture industrial electromotors up to 18.5 KW and using IEC and DIN standards, the production of these electromotors begin in single and three phase types.
In 1990, MOTOGEN changed from Private Joint Stock to Public Joint Stock.
