"Move on Up! Hip-Hop Jam & Party" is a bi-annual event that brings together hip-hop enthusiasts, dancers, and music lovers from across Europe to South France. The February 2024 edition, titled "Cold Sweat! Hip-Hop Jam & Party," took place from February 23 to 25 in Marseille, France and brought together over 600 people - included some of the Breaking scene's top competitors and judges. Hosted by Move On Up, 7$ Crew, and the Tighten Up! Festival, the event delivers a vibrant mix of hip-hop, funk, soul, Latin, and Afrobeat music. The weekend's activities includes workshops, breaking battles, live DJ sets, and various performances by notable crews and artists from around the world. Key highlights include a pre-party and footwork battle on Friday, main event performances and battles on Saturday, and workshops and film screenings on Sunday. The event aims to create a space where dancers, artists, and the public can interact freely and enjoy the rich culture of hip-hop without barriers.
