Bis 2014 fur die Pénische Frachten von Rotterdam bis nach Basel. 2014 wurde sie von dem Basler Schiffslotsen Steven Leisenberg gekauft und in einem aufwenidgen Transformationsprozess zu einem attraktiven fahrenden Veranstaltungsraum für Kunst, Kultur, Bildung und Forschung umgebaut. Das Schiff kann neben der gemeinnützigen Nutzung auch für private oder kommerzielle Veranstaltungen auf dem Rhein in Basel gemietet werden.
Das Schiff dient zudem als Reallabor und Testraum für Innovationsunternehmen und Institutionen, die an alternativen, nachhaltigen Antriebssystem für die Binnenschifffahrt forschen.
