Make Your Bed (MUB) is a project which focuses on developing a sustainable collection of garments following the principles of the circular economy and using this initiative as pilot experience to raise awareness on the impact of fashion in our planet and promoting pеople’s involvement in disrupting with the current fashion system.
The project is supported by WORTH Partnership Project https://www.worthproject.eu/.
The Collection will be designed and manufactured by Dahlia Rodríguez https://dahliarodriguez.com/, using artisan techniques and bed linen clothes as raw materials which will be previously sourced from swap markets organised by Empty Your Wardrobe https://emptyyourwardrobe.com/en/home/ and naturally dyed by Warm & Wild https://warmandwild.com/.
The project follows zero-waste pattern design and uses traditional artisan techniques such as tailoring, moulage, weaving, crochet, slow stitching and patchwork and some other, to avoid scraps production.
Its aim is to provide a unique wardrobe to citizens committed to sustainability and awareness of the power of social innovation.
