MITHE, een woord dat symbool staat voor ‘Muziek In THEater’. En dat is precies wat we graag met ons publiek willen delen. Bij ons kan je terecht voor kleinschalige musicalproducties, uitgevoerd door zeer talentvolle liefhebbers. Alhoewel, af en toe durven we het al eens grootser aanpakken, zoals dit jaar. In ons jubileumjaar wagen we ons aan Shrek, de musical in de stadsschouwburg. We brengen musicalvoorstellingen aan een betaalbare inkomprijs om iedereen de kans te geven er van te komen genieten. We spelen de voorstellingen in kleinere zalen, om een direct contact te houden met ons publiek. Een veelgehoorde reactie na afloop van een voorstelling van Mithe is dan ook: ‘Ik hou eigenlijk niet zo van musical, maar als het op deze manier gebracht wordt, is het een fantastische ervaring’. Voorstellingen maken is dus onze ‘core business’. Maar daarnaast denken we ook aan de toekomst. Mithe organiseert ‘productiereeksen’ voor kinderen, jongeren en volwassenen. Hier kan iedereen naar hartelust proeven en leren van wat er allemaal bij een musical komt kijken. Er wordt gewerkt aan zangtechniek, acteren en dans. Aan het einde van het reeks toont elke groep zijn mini-musical aan familie en vrienden.
