De tijd dat voetbal alleen iets voor mannen was, is eigenlijk al lang verleden tijd. Het aantal voetballende meiden en vrouwen stijgt al jaren, ook in de Achterhoek! Veel clubs in de Achterhoek hebben het meiden- en vrouwenvoetbal omarmt en dat is een mooie ontwikkeling. De toestroom van vrouwelijke leden is een enorme kans voor verenigingen, maar hoe zorg je er als club voor dat iedere voetbalster op haar eigen niveau kan voetballen? Met circa 5500 voetballende meiden- en vrouwen is het eigenlijk 'gek' dat er geen doorgroeimogelijkheden zijn voor voetbaltalenten in de Achterhoek. Tijd om hier verandering in te brengen! Om talentvolle meiden uit de Achterhoek ontwikkelingsmogelijkheden te bieden is MVVA in 2019 opgericht met als doel om het meiden- en vrouwenvoetbal in de Achterhoek kwalitatief te laten groeien. MVVA is een professionele talentenacademie voor meiden, waar talentvolle amateurspeelsters trainen, wedstrijden en toernooien spelen op hoog niveau.
