Mycotrix Private Limited is an innovative biomaterials startup dedicated to sustainable innovation in biomaterials for India's future. We are actively engaged in the research and development of a 100% biodegradable bio-composite material derived from fungi (mushrooms or mycelium), organic additives, and locally sourced biomass from agroindustry and forestry. These biocomposites offer the same effectiveness and efficiency as their fossil-based counterparts but have no harmful effects on the environment, and in fact, can be beneficial.
We draw inspiration from nature's sustainable practices. By harnessing the natural growth of mycelium, the roots of mushrooms, and combining them with agricultural waste, we eliminate the need for traditional industrial methods involving heating and treating materials. This innovative approach allows us to directly replace polystyrene-based packaging materials, including thermocol and Styrofoam, with our mycelium-based packaging materials.
