Métisse® is dé circulaire isolatie van de toekomst. Het wordt gemaakt uit een afvalstroom van oude kleding dat voorheen verbrand of afgestort werd. Métisse is een isolatiemateriaal dat het mogelijk maakt om biobased te bouwen met katoen isolatie. Het is een van de weinige bouwmaterialen dat bestaat uit gerecycled en natuurlijke vezels.
Naast de hoge isolatie van Métisse heeft het zich ontwikkelt naar een toonaangevende positie binnen de akoestiek. Dit komt door het vermogen om geluid uitstekend te absorberen.
Métisse draagt bij aan een gezonder binnenklimaat, verlaging van de afvalberg en zorgt voor energiebesparing (lagere energierekening). Het isolatiemateriaal is flexibel maar vormvast. Tijdens de verwerking van Métisse krijg je geen jeuk of andere irritaties zoals bij andere isolatiematerialen wel het geval is.
Het is in sommige gevallen zelfs mogelijk om een project op te zetten waarbij de eindgebruiker of opdrachtgever spijkerbroeken of andere oude kleding inzamelt. Deze kunnen wij gebruiken voor de productie en worden weer terug geleverd in de vorm van een isolatieplaat of rol. Hoe leuk zou het zijn om je versleten spijkerbroek als isolatie in je eigen muur te hebben!?
