Nameri National Park & Tiger Reserve, located at the foothills of the Eastern Himalayas, is an abode to myriad species of Wildlife. The site is a national park, a tiger reserve, an elephant reserve, and an important bird area. Nameri is contiguous with the Pakke Tiger Reserve in Arunachal Pradesh. Together, they form one of the large blocks of semi-evergreen and evergreen forests in the Northeast (NTCA).

Rafting on the River Jia-bhoroli against the backdrop of high hills with snow-clad caps in the eastern Himalayas deserves a special mention.
