The Newcastle ENT & OMFS Society (NEOS) was established in October 2022 to serve as a safe and inclusive gathering place for interdisciplinary collaboration amongst ENT surgeons, dentists, and learners to flourish.
We aim to encourage and foster an interest in ENT (ear, nose and throat) & OMFS (oral maxillofacial surgery) in undergraduate students with a selection of interesting talks and opportunity to network with consultants and registrars in the field.
We also work hard to provide our members with insights into ENT & OMFS and its future, including research and various sub-specialties.
We strive to provide members opportunities to learn basic surgical skills and enhanced diagnostical knowledge in mock OSCE stations, that can be very useful in their exams and daily clinical practices
We dedicate ourselves to promote the ENT & OMFS and inspire the next-generation surgeons to pursue cutting edge technology and ground-breaking practice changes.
Most important of all, we hope to use the Society as a platform to give back to the local community in the Northeast, by joining various initiatives in volunteering and fundraising to help people affected by hearing problems or diagnosed with head & neck cancer.
