Südwestfalen ist die drittgrößte Wirtschaftsregion in Deutschland. Sie besitzt mehr als 150 Weltmarktführer. Die Region verliert jedoch massiv junge Menschen, die nach dem Schulabschluss in Metropolregionen ziehen. Sie möchten dort studieren und sehen mehr Möglichkeiten einen besseren Job zu finden. Unsere Initiative NextGen Südwestfalen möchte genau das ändern. Unser Ziel ist es, junge Menschen für ein Leben in Südwestfalen zu begeistern und den CEOs vermitteln, welche Erwartungen zukünftige Arbeitnehmer besitzen.
Die Initiative NextGen Südwestfalen startet mit den Flagship Event „GenZ meets CEOs“ am 16. September 2022. Diese Veranstaltung wird im GALILEO-PARK in den Sauerland-Pyramiden stattfinden. Hier soll ein Forum geschaffen werden, um Schüler*innen, Azubis, BufDis und Studierende aus der Region mit Führungskräften, Experten und Verantwortlichen aus der Politik zusammenzubringen – um in einen direkten Dialog zu treten über die Bedürfnisse und Anliegen der GenZ in Südwestfalen.
Weitere Themenfelder der Initiative sind: Reverse Mentoring, Digital Science Lab, Start-Up Wettbewerbe, Künstliche Intelligenz, Metaverse und Augmented Reality. Außerdem geht es um New Work Sustainability, Land- und Forstwirtschaft goes Digital, Handwerks goes Digital, Coding Bootcamps, Politik meets GenZ, sowie digital Health in Südwestfalen. Wir werden die Projekte der NextGen Südwestfalen begleiten und Events, Diskussionsformate und Partys für alle erlebbar machen.
