Niochi tackles 3 major problems: Tourists feel lost when they leave their hotels, there is no easy way to plan a trip to Africa at your convenience and existing tourism services present Africa more with a western vision (zoo, waterfalls, safaris, tribal dances, etc.).
With a booming tourism sector, the last 5 years have seen the number of travelers on the African continent steadily increase. According to UN WTO, Africa welcomed 67 million international tourists in 2018, 7% more than in 2017. This makes it the second-fastest-growing tourism region in the world. In 2018, the sector accounted for about 8.5% of GDP, equivalent to $194.2 million.
And until today, there's no solution that eases the life of tourists on their journey. A solution that makes them feel at home and never get lost even when traveling alone in Africa.
Niochi is the community platform that lists the best places for outings, weekends and stays in African cities. The added value lies in the fact that Niochi presents places that no one can find on the Internet. Those special places that make up the identity of Africa.
Our objective is to connect local businesses with their target customers and to get to know them better in order to offer an adequate service on demand. This allows users to better plan their trips to Africa and do their errands in the most fluid and practical way possible.
