NMKV is a joint venture between Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. and Mitsubishi Motors Corporation established to specialize in the planning and development of Kei-cars.
Since its establishment, NMKV has already planned and developed four Kei-car models, which have been launched under the respective brands of Nissan Dayz and Nissan Roox and Mitsubishi ek X/ek Wagon and Mitsubishi ek space/ek X space.

Both the new Nissan Dayz and Mitsubishi ek X and ek Wagon have been named Car of the Year for 2020 by the Automotive Researchers' and Journalists' Conference of Japan (RJC).
Also, the all-new Nissan Roox and Mitsubishi eK X space/eK space, a minivehicle with a spacious interior and advanced driver assistance technology, were named “Kei Car of the Year” in the 2020-21 Japan Car of the Year competition.
