Museets innhold
Nordisk Bibelmuseum ligger sentralt i Oslo i Nedre Slottsgate 4c.
Grunnlaget for utstillingen er faktabasert informasjonsformidling.
Hoveddelen av museets utstilling er gründer Rune Arnhoffs samling på over 4000 bibler. Samlingen inneholder et variert utvalg av norske, nordiske og utenlandske bibler.
Samlingen inneholder kulturhistoriske skatter. Noen av de mest sjeldne er en utgave av Gustav Vasas bibel fra 1541, en originalside fra en Gutenbergbibel, en latinsk bibel fra 1487 og håndskrevne sider fra rundt 1250. Museet vil også vise fram historisk materiale fra andre samlinger.
Museet har også en egen samling på over 2500 bibler fra 1800-tallet og oppover.

Å gjøre Bibelens historie og dens innhold tilgjengelig og kjent ved å gi svar på følgende seks spørsmål:
1. Hvem skrev Bibelen?
2. Hva inneholder Bibelen?
3. Hvor er Bibelen skrevet?
4. Hvorfor ble Bibelen skrevet?
5. Hvilken motstand har Bibelen overlevd?
6. Hvordan har Bibelen påvirket vårt språk, kultur, verdier, samfunnet og lovgivningen?

Å gjøre historien om Bibelen kjent for alle.
