The Networked Optimization, Diagnosis, and Estimation (NODE) Lab advances AI-enabled diagnosis, control, and decision-making for cyber-physical systems and shared human-autonomy control. Our work focuses on collaborative robotics (including assistive robots), intelligent mobility, and autonomous manufacturing systems.
Through partnerships with industry and academia, our projects span fundamental research, knowledge development, and technology transfer to Canadian and international sectors in robotics, manufacturing, and intelligent transportation. Our solutions include: (i) autonomous navigation in unstructured environments, (ii) digital twins for Industry 4.0—including networked robots for logistics and manufacturing, as well as automated driving systems, (iii) AI-enabled augmented perception for exploration and motion planning under uncertainty, and (iv) networked control systems (NCS) that interact with human operators.
