Novo Science is a science communication and training company that aims to deliver public engagement on behalf of other researchers, train researchers in science communication and deliver a range of exciting science events around central Scotland and the Scottish Borders.
One upon a time, carrying out great research, and publishing in high impact journals, was enough to secure funding and therefore keep ones' job. Those days are largely gone and researches must now create "impact", deliver "more bang" for their bucks and get their research out into the public domain so that people know what they money is being spent on and why it's important. However, scientists (and bio-engineers) are paid to carry out research, so why not engage Novo Science to do this for you? I'd be delighted to hear from anyone who wants to get his or her research "out there".
Novo Science can also design and deliver science activities, workshops and experiments for primary school pupils.
