North sea hydrogen ports and maritime community (ns hymap) email format

The North Sea Hydrogen Ports and Maritime Community (NS HyMaP) began in April 2020 as an Information Exchange between the North Sea ports, maritime and hydrogen sectors. NS HyMaP will now grow into is a membership based association that promotes the increased use of hydrogen in the ports and maritime sector as an effective and efficient way of achieving climate neutrality in one of the EU’s most important maritime regions. NS HyMap will provide a platform for the North Sea ports, maritime and hydrogen sectors to: • Stimulate debate and joint working to promote hydrogen production, storage and applications in the North Sea ports and maritime sectors • Develop a research and innovation agenda that will promote an effective and efficient North Sea hydrogen value chain • Provide an Information Exchange on a broad range of issues of mutual interest to these industries including research, regulations and scaling up of hydrogen production, storage and applications. • Represent Members’ interests in the development of policies at EU, IMO and North Sea State levels • Identify project opportunities and advise on project applications and their implementation. • Facilitating Policy Groups on key issues such as hydrogen production, storage and bunkering so that networking opportunities can be exploited • Developing port networks and routes for hydrogen vessels • Examining landside hydrogen port developments including Hydrogen Valleys • Identifying funding opportunities for the development of hydrogen production and hydrogen applications in ports • Supporting Members in the development of hydrogen applications in short sea shipping
