Company Overview The N.S.S. unit of Hans Raj College works under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India. Every year it welcomes 500 volunteers to its family. It strives to help and contribute to the Nation and the society, focusing on the unprivileged. Works under 3 Departments namely - 1. Rural Development and Social Entrepreneurship Wing : This wing is one which works for the development and upliftment of the people of slum areas of Delhi NCR through a number of awareness campaigns, donation drives and literacy sessions along with improving the economic well-being of the people through a number of entrepreneurship projects. 2. Padhaku, The Educational Wing : "Padha kar dekho acha lagta hai" Padhaku started in 2009 and is aimed at bringing a positive change in society by helping students belonging to the weaker sections of society. Our vision is to provide education to every child and help them to achieve their goals. Donation drives, career guidance, informative sessions and Buniyaad- the skill enhancement programme are also organised under this wing. 3. Health and Environment Wing : This wing works for a sustainable and cleaner environment and health-related aspect of the society. Aahar food donation drives, Animal food donation drives , Plantation drives, Plogging drives are main initiatives of the wing. Promoting health awareness is another aspect of the department which is achieved through webinars, Blood donation camps, rallies and campaigns.
