Nudge is a smart wristband designed to help manage hair pulling (trichotillomania), skin picking (dermatillomania) and chronic nail biting. Body Focused Repetitive Behaviours (BFRBs) that affect up to 1 in 20 of the population, and still carry a lot of stigma, with a lack of resources and support. Nudge is proudly raising awareness of BFRBs, conditions that can be debilitating for many.
Nudge uses artificial intelligence, including gesture recognition technology and neural network programming to detect when you move your hand towards your face or head, and then alerts you with a subtle vibration. The band has an LED system that lights up to count the number of times that’s happened.
We’ve taught Nudge to recognise over 1,000 hand and arm gestures, so it should always know where your hand is in relation to your face and head.
And as smart as Nudge is, we love the fact that it works straight out of the box, no need to calibrate it or hook it up to an app. As soon as nudge arrives, it can be charged up, and users pop it straight on their wrist to start their training sessions.
