Welcome to my profile! I'm Helen, the owner, therapist and educator behind “Nurturing Growth” – a therapeutic space where emotional healing can happen, and new growth emerges.
Situated in Subiaco, Western Australia, and offering sessions online via telehealth, I bring over a decade of hands-on experience in therapy. As a PACFA-registered clinical therapist, qualified educator & supervisor, I am committed to fostering resilience and well-being in my clients and students alike, as we explore issues of concern to you.
My approach is informed not only by my professional training but also by lived experiences and my own journey in therapy. This enables me to connect with and understand the profound complexities of each client & the human condition. This connection has been the cornerstone of my practice - where empathy meets expertise.
My approach is collaborative, providing information, practical skills, and therapeutic techniques to help women make sense of their struggles, learning to relax and manage distress. I utilise Schema Therapy, memory work, and EMDR for processing trauma, focusing on equipping clients to become stronger, happier, and more confident in facing life's challenges, and finding peace & acceptance with the things we cannot change.
Beyond individual therapy, I enjoy mentoring the next generation of therapists and leaders. With experience in supervision, group facilitation, lecturing, and presenting, I'm dedicated to nurturing the growth of students, professionals, and clients alike.
