Das Netzwerk Fluchtforschung e.V. ist ein multidisziplinäres Netzwerk von Wissenschaftler*innen, die zu Aspekten von Flucht und Flüchtlingen forschen. Sein Zweck ist es unter anderem die Flucht- und Flüchtlingsforschung in der Wissenschaftslandschaft zu stärken, Forschungsarbeiten auf dem Gebiet der Flucht-und Flüchtlingsforschung zu fördern, zum Dialog zwischen Wissenschaft und Praxis sowie zum Transfer von Forschungsergebnissen beizutragen, die kritische Auseinandersetzung mit Flucht, Asyl, Flüchtlingsschutz und Lebensbedingungen Geflüchteter unter Wissenschaftlerinnen und Wissenschaftlern wie auch den Transfer von wissenschaftlichen Ergebnissen in die Öffentlichkeit zu unterstützen. Hierfür möchte es in erster Linie zur Vernetzung der Flucht- und Flüchtlingsforschung, zur Anbahnung von Kooperationen sowie dem inter- und transdisziplinären Erfahrungsaustausch beitragen. Das Netzwerk Fluchtforschung tut dies unter anderem durch die Veranstaltung wissenschaftlicher Tagungen und Konferenzen, durch das Bereitstellen von Online-Plattformen (Homepage) und interne Kommunikationsinstrumente, durch einen Newsletter und soziale Medien sowie durch die Bereitstellung oder Unterstützung von Publikationsformaten wie den FluchtforschungsBlog und die Z’Flucht: Zeitschrift für Flucht- und Flüchtlingsforschung. Das Netzwerk Fluchtforschung ist ethischen Grundprinzipien in der Wissenschaft verpflichtet. (Vgl. Satzung des Netzwerks Fluchtforschung e.V.)
