NZIIU is a student exchange organisation based in New Zealand, with offices in Auckland and Christchurch.
· Outbound Exchange
We pride ourselves on helping Kiwi high school students to pursue their dreams and broaden their horizons through immersive home stay experiences. Our outbound exchanges cover 14 exciting destinations from Japan and China, to the USA and Canada, Argentina and Brazil to all across Europe.
Being based in New Zealand, we can provide a personalised service for students and their families, supporting them from the day they apply until the moment their plane touches back down in NZ after the adventure of a lifetime.
· Inbound Exchange Programme
Our inbound exchange department welcomes international students seeking an authentic NZ experience by placing them at a local high school.
· Fee paying programmes
We also welcome hundreds of overseas students on fee-paying courses every year, enrolling them at NZ schools with tailored programmes to suit their interests and goals.
· Short term study tours
For students wanting a glimpse of kiwi life, we operate short-term study tours for overseas school groups focusing on cultural immersion and English language studies.
About us
Established in 1986, NZIIU, also known as the New Zealand Institute of International Understanding, endeavours to deepen cross-cultural understanding and appreciation beyond our nation's borders.
We are a non-profit organisation registered with the Ministry of Education, and award thousands of dollars in scholarships every year, on both needs-based and achievement-based cases.
