The Occupational Therapy Compact Commission (OTCC) was established in 2022 when ten states enacted the Occupational Therapy Licensure Compact (OTC) legislation in their states. The OTCC and the OTCC Committees are dedicated to working year round to develop policies, regulations, and rule that ensure occupational therapy professionals are able to expand their reach to provide safe, competent, and diverse care across the nation.
The OTCC is partnered with multiple entities, including two other compact commissions to develop the data system that will be used for state integration and communication so OTC privileges to practice (equivalent to state licensure) will be authorized for those who are eligible.
Applications for OTC privileges to practice will be opened in 2025 when the data system is operational and integrated with compact states.
