MenAlive — Orange County Gay Men's Chorus was founded in September 2001 by Rich Cook with 13 singers. Today, with more than 130 members and a support team of 50 plus volunteers, MenAlive has grown into one of Orange County's largest choruses as well as an active and respected partner in Southern California's arts scene.
MenAlive is more than Arts and Entertainment. We promote understanding and acceptance for the LGBT community, countering the fear and discrimination that threatens all of society, especially youth. We do this through the love of performance, community outreach and friendship.
The Chorus is run by a volunteer Board of Directors and is a 501(c)3 non-profit arts organization.
Our Mission Statement:
Transforming Orange County through artistic excellence, advocacy, and the power of community, amplifying queer voices and building bridges for all LGBTQIA+ people.
