Octobots robotics email format

Previously under the name Riviera Robotics, Octobots Robotics is an FRC robotics team based in Santa Barbara, California. FRC stands for FIRST Robotics Competition which is an international high school-aged youth robotics competition. At Octobots Robotics, students gain valuable engineering experiences, learning from mentors and student leaders, by completing hands-on tasks in order to build a new robot at the start of each year. Students have the ability to choose from focusing their interests on CAD, computer coding, wiring, assembling, or working with whatever the team needs help with. All members of Octobots Robotics are deeply involved in the design, fabrication, assembly, programming, and presentation of the robots. This provides relevant, hands-on engineering experience. In addition, Team Octobots students are responsible for the business operations entailed in building a robot including logistics, fundraising, legal work, finance, and purchasing supplies. Members of our team have the rare experience of running a corporation as high school students, giving them the skills needed to succeed in other future business ventures. Team Octobots is committed to promoting STEM education in the community. We volunteer to present our robot at local schools and community fairs in order to engage younger students in the field of Robotics. Octobots Robotics also identifies schools in each primary community neighborhood representing the demographics of our community at large, presents, and demonstrates our robots to schools representing each socioeconomic demographic in our community. Finally, we obtain a list of interested students who show interest in the field of Robotics and provide them with ongoing information, including how to form and/or join a Robotics team such as ours.
