Octopus ISR Systems is a division of Edge Autonomy, a leading developer of fixed wing UAVs and auxiliary components. Headquartered in San Luis Obispo, CA, Edge Autonomy provides design and manufacturing of highly engineered unmanned system technologies utilized in a wide variety of military, civil, and academic applications. Edge Autonomy was born out of the merger between Jennings Aeronautics, Inc (JAI) and UAV Factory in September 2021 and then added Michigan-based Adaptive Energy, designer and manufacturer of solid oxide fuel cells (SOFC) for back up and portable power applications, in August 2022.
