Olijf, patiëntenorganisatie voor vrouwen met gynaecologische kanker en hun naasten.
Elk jaar krijgen ca. 4800 vrouwen de diagnose gynaecologische kanker (baarmoederhalskanker, baarmoederkanker, eierstokkanker, vaginakanker, schaamlip-/vulvakanker). De gevolgen van gynaecologische kanker zijn impactvol. Denk bijvoorbeeld aan problemen met seksualiteit, vervroegde overgang, angst en/of depressie en ongewenste kinderloosheid.
Olijf biedt als netwerk steun en informatie aan vrouwen die gynaecologische kanker hebben (gehad) en hun naasten en wil op basis van ervaringsdeskundigheid bijdragen aan adequate preventie en goede kwaliteit van zorg en leven.

- bijdragen aan preventie, zoals bevolkingsonderzoek baarmoederhalskanker, vaccinatie HPV
- informatievoorziening en voorlichting: congressen, lezingen, Olijfblad, website en social media.
- lotgenotencontact: mail/telefonisch en whatsapp, online gespreksgroepen, bijeenkomsten, Olijf Congresdag
- belangenbehartiging en het patiëntperspectief inbrengen in beleid en onderzoek: kwaliteitscriteria, zorgpaden, richtlijnen, patiëntenwijzers.
