OVERVIEW
Formed in 2016, Operation Safe Haven was formed with a humanitarian vision to build resilience, grow capacity and promote hope and dignity in marginalized communities around the world. Our dream is to help families and individuals in developing parts of the world learn how to help themselves escape poverty, find hope, and live a better life. We do this through our core missions.
OUR MISSIONS
Our missions include: establishing “safe haven” educational centers, assisting community leaders to bring resources to bear to realize potential, educating and providing training to help families and individuals become self-reliant in sustainable and principled ways in their communities, addressing chronic poverty and acute needs exacerbated by poverty in developing communities, mobilizing local and international volunteers to support developing community efforts.
SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES AND PURPOSES:
1. To educate and motivate people to achieve principled and sustainable self-sufficiency to help them become more productive members of society
2. To equip, educate and motivate people to address chronic poverty and acute needs in developing communities
3. To assist governments with emergency preparedness and improving quality of life in rural and other developing communities
4. To create sustainable economic activity and entrepreneurship within communities to help them become more productive
5. To work with community leaders and others to identify needs and provide support
6. To establish “safe haven” educational centers to conduct educational/training instruction and to organize volunteer activities
7. To prepare developing communities for contact with the outside world, combat human trafficking and to rescue those whose freedom and happiness are being deprived
