To ensure the sustainable growth of photovoltaic (PV) technology, low production costs, high power conversion efficiency, and excellent stability are crucial. Organic solar cells, which can achieve up to 19% power conversion efficiency, are promising due to their efficient, low-cost roll-to-roll manufacturing processes. However, their widespread adoption is hindered by moderate stability. In the #OPVStability project, ten dedicated PhD students will address this stability challenge. Through an excellent training program, advanced synchrotron-based analytics, high-throughput experiments, and machine learning approaches, they will explore new materials, designs, and strategies to enhance the durability of organic photovoltaics. This effort aims to pave the way for the next generation of #OPVs.
