OrthoDirect verleent orthopedische zorg aan patiënten. OrthoDirect onderscheidt zich door nauw samen te werken met eerstelijns zorgverleners zoals huisartsen en fysiotherapeuten, met als doel de behandeling voor de patiënt te optimaliseren. De huisarts heeft hierbij de regiefunctie.
Wij kijken bijvoorbeeld goed naar de verwijzingsvraag, maken indien nodig direct een echografie, zien de patiënt op verzoek van de huisarts samen met de fysiotherapeut en verrichten indien gewenst eenmalige of meekijk consulten. Indien tijdens het eerste consult een infiltratie noodzakelijk is wordt deze meteen echogeleid verricht. OrthoDirect overlegt met de huisarts en fysiotherapeut wat voor de patiënt de juiste behandeling is met het oog op zijn situatie en omgevingsfactoren.
Wij kunnen door nauw samen te werken met de eerstelijns zorgverleners onze operatie indicatie scherper stellen, waardoor onnodige operaties voorkomen worden. OrthoDirect heeft als doel dat de patiënt zo snel mogelijk herstelt zodat hij of zij werkzaamheden of sportactiviteiten eerder hervat.
