ABOUT US
The Ontario Sheet Metal Workers’ and Roofers’ Conference is the ‘Employee Bargaining Agency’ which helps to represent over 6000 skilled women and men from regional local unions around Ontario. Our members are engaged in various sectors of the sheet metal, roofing, siding and decking, and metal production industries.
OUR MISSION
Through collective bargaining, the OSMWRC serves to raise the living standard of all our members. We strive to establish and maintain desirable, safe and healthy conditions with fair wages, benefits and training, in return for our members’ skilled labour.
The OSMWRC seeks to promote our skilled union members, their fair contractors, and the many benefits to customers and communities when they utilize our well trained roofers and sheet metal workers.
OUR VISION
Without good paying jobs, our working families and prosperous communities would be threatened.
Without highly capable and dedicated workers our projects and again, our communities, would be jeopardized.
We envision an Ontario where every roofer, sider, and sheet metal worker enjoys a quality standard of life, with adequate compensation for her/his services.
We envision an Ontario full of opportunity, where good safe and healthy jobs are available for all, including women, aboriginals, new Canadians and youth.
