Next generation thinking started in 1994 as the founder of PPT (Pacific Pattern Technologies) formally (ATC AT Aerospace Corp) had teamed together with Pratt & Whitney, General Electric, EDS, Precision Castparts and Pacific Cast Technologies. Developing new internal design and manufacturing systems the ATC team had developed a linear production system of manufacturing molds in a new high production lean environment they labeled "FAST".
