Palad syntyi taiteilija Jaana Partasen ja arkkitehti Heikki Lamusuon ajatuksesta luoda toimivia ratkaisuja julkisten tilojen käyttöön. Ideana oli suunnitella kalusteita, joita markkinoilta ei löydy valmiina. Kalusteissa tuli olla jotain kodikasta, rakastettavaa, muunneltavaa ja jopa leikkisää. Kalusteiden tuli olla monikäyttöisiä ja yhteensopivia, mutta konstailemattomia.
Jaanalla ja Heikillä on pitkä kokemus muotoilun ja arkkitehtuurin yhdistämisestä. Palad-tuotteiden suunnittelun tavoitteena on ollut tuoda ympäristöön harmoniaa ja iloa, jota tukevat mm. leikkisät ratkaisut ja pirteät värivalinnat.
Kaikki Palad-kalusteet tehdään reilulla lähituoteperiaatteella – Suomessa. Palad on ympäristöystävällinen, pitkäikäinen ja ajaton hankinta. – Kerran mietitty on iäksi tehty.

Palad was born when artist Jaana Partanen and architect Heikki Lamusuo wanted to create furniture not yet on the market. The furniture should be homey, loveable, transformable and even playful. They should be versatile and matching but still simple.
Jaana and Heikki have a long experience in combining design and architecture. The aim of designing Palad artifacts has been bringing joy and harmony to surroundings.
All Palad products are produced locally and fairly in Finland. palad is environmental friendly, long-lasting and timeless. – Once designed is made for lifetime.
