Parenting across Borders is een maatschappelijk initiatief dat internationale ouders individuele ondersteuning biedt in een dialooggroep in de eerste 1000 dagen van het ouderschap. Door middel van dialogen willen wij internationale ouders een veilige omgeving bieden waar er ruimte is voor zelfreflectie en persoonlijk leren. Ook kunnen ouders binnen de groep het gevoel ervaren om bij een gemeenschap te horen. Bovendien krijgen ouders door andere ouders te ontmoeten en hun ervaringen te horen, bevestiging en erkenning van de verschillende uitdagingen waarmee ze worden geconfronteerd doordat ze hun kind in een vreemde context moeten opvoeden.
Wij geloven dat ouders die gesteund worden, zelfverzekerde ouders zijn die zich beter verhouden tot zichzelf, hun kinderen en hun omgeving.

Parenting across borders is a social initiative that provides individual support for international parents in a dialogue group setting. Through dialogue, we aim at providing international parents a safe setting where we allow a process of self-reflection, personal learning, and a sense of belonging to a community. Moreover, by meeting other parents and hearing their experiences, parents receive validation and recognition of the different challenges they face as part of their role when parenting a child in a foreign context.
We believe that supported parents are confident parents who relate better to their inner-self, their children, and their surroundings.
