Parkvilla is HET centrum voor kunsteducatie van Alphen aan den Rijn en regio en verzorgt cursussen. workshops en cultuurparticipatieprojecten. Maar Parkvilla is meer dan dat: zij heeft ook een belangrijk aanbod op het gebied van filmhuisfilms en theater in het eigen filmhuis en de theaterzaal! Juist de synergie tussen kunsteducatie, filmhuis en theater maakt dat we een optimaal (maatwerk) programma kunnen aanbieden. De koppeling van deze drie hoofdelementen in het monumentale pand in Park Rijnstroom maakt Parkvilla uniek in Nederland.
Parkvilla ontvangt subsidie voor het educatiedeel. De overige onderdelen ontvangen geen subsidie.
Parkvilla heeft twee prachtige foyers ten behoeve van cursisten en bezoekers. Deze foyers worden daarnaast verhuurd voor feesten, recepties en condoleances.
De theaterzaal en de filmzaal kunnen worden gehuurd voor besloten voorstellingen, bedrijfspresentaties, lezingen symposia, uitvaartdiensten en trouwceremonies, compleet met professionele technische ondersteuning voor decor, beeld en geluid. Uiteraard kan daarbij onze sfeervolle foyer gebruikt worden om de gasten te ontvangen, met hen individueel contact te hebben, en onder het genot van een hapje en drankje na te praten. Ook de verzorging van een buffet behoort tot de mogelijkheden.
Parkkunst
Parkkunst is het grootste cultuurfestival van Alphen aan den Rijn en wordt georganiseerd door Parkvilla op Koningsdag. Jaarlijks bezoeken rond de 25.000 mensen dit festival met kunst, muziek, straattheater en horeca.
Parkvilla is een van de officiële trouwlocaties in Alphen aan den Rijn.
