Pathways is a dynamic, proactive Aberdeen-based charity which helps people find work, runs a community based counselling service and delivers community learning classes.
Support to help people find work is delivered by a team of Employment Keyworkers who work one-o-one with clients, supporting them through the jobsearch process, from creating a CV, building confidence, helping people identify and apply for potential vacancies and prepare for interviews. We also make sure that people settle into their new jobs.
Our counselling service is for anyone aged 16 and over living in the north of Aberdeen city tackle any issue for which they feel they would benefit from counselling. We have a team of very experienced counsellors with many years of experience in dealing with a vast range of issues.
Our community learning classes are based around improving people’s confidence, mental health and employability. All our classes run with small groups of up to 8 participants, so that everyone can take part and gain the maximum from their attendance.
Since our beginning in 1998 we have achieved the following
* Supported over 3000 people into work
* Over 1500 people attended community learning classes
*Over 900 people attending counselling
*Saved over £5 million of benefit savings
*Successfully acquired over £1 million of external funding to support our work.
