The Person-Centered Reproductive Health Program (PCRHP) at UCSF is committed to advancing reproductive autonomy and well-being. We conduct research and design programs that center people’s experiences and preferences in sexual and reproductive health and health care. Guided by principles of equity, justice, and community collaboration, our work dismantles systemic barriers to high-quality, person-centered care, particularly for historically marginalized populations, including women and gender-expansive people, and people of color.
In service of our mission, we:
-- Develop and disseminate values-driven healthcare performance measures and provider- and patient-side interventions to improve access to high-quality care and support informed decision-making;
-- Conduct innovative research documenting the reproductive health and healthcare needs of historically minoritized women and gender minorities;
-- Advocate within the reproductive health and primary care fields to ensure centrality of reproductive autonomy in research and practice.
