1. गुरु की सोहबत चाहिए तो “गुरूर” से नाता तोड़ना पड़ता है।
2. “मैं कौन हूं” यह जान लेना पहला कदम है परम सत्य(हक़) की ओर।
3. बैत/ शिष्यत्व ले लेना सिर्फ शुरुआत है सफर की, ना ये कोई उपाधि है ,ना ही किसी किस्म की तसल्ली, सुफिज्म (अध्यात्म/तसव्वुफ) के जगत में।
4. दुनिया से भागकर अगर कोई परमात्मा(अल्लाह) को उपलब्ध होना चाहता है तो वह जान ले, कि ऐसे शख्स से परमात्मा भी दूर भागता है। क्योंकि परमात्मा की रचना(खल्क) का अपमान, परमात्मा(खालिक) ही का अपमान है।
5. दुनियावी सफलता के लिए दुनिया में मेहनत करनी पड़ती है और रूहानी/आध्यात्मिक सफलता के लिए खुद पर मेहनत करनी पड़ती है।
6. भीड़ का हिस्सा होकर यह मान लेना कि मैं सही रास्ते पर हूं उतना ही सत्य है, जितना कसाई के बाड़े में कैद जानवरों की भीड़ का सोचना कि वे सुरक्षित हैं।
7. जरूरत से ज्यादा मीठा बोलने वाला इंसान अंदर से बेहद कड़वा होता है। सत्य सामने आने पर उसकी कड़वाहट साफ जाहिर हो जाती है।
8. गुरु/ मुर्शिद की भी मानो, और कुछ अपने मन की भी करो, ऐसी सोच रखने वाले शिष्य/मुरीद असल में अपने ही मन की करते हैं, अपनी ही बुद्धि/अक्ल से धोखा खाकर।
9. किसी की भी नकल(copy) करना किसी भी तरीके से (शब्द,बोलचाल,लहज़ा,पहनावा आदि) आपको बाहर से भले ही उस जैसा जता दें, मगर असल में आप मूर्ख हैं। परमात्मा ने दो पत्ते भी एक जैसे नहीं बनाए संसार में, तो फिर आप क्यों किसी जैसा बनना चाहते हैं? नकल करने से आप “नकली” बन जाते हैं।
10. अंधेरा रोशनी के होने की खबर है इसलिए ना तो अंधेरे से डरो, भागो और न ही उसे नकारो। बस स्वीकार कर लो। इसके बाद रोशनी ही आती है।
11. परमात्मा को जानने की शुरुआत “सुनने” से होती है इसलिए बहुत गौर से,होश में रहकर और ध्यान से “सन्नाटे” को सुनो। जिसने “सन्नाटे” को सुनना सीख लिया, वह एक दिन “शब्दों” को सुनना भी सीख जाता है।
