PeerTalk is a registered charity providing peer support groups to adults over the age of 18 experiencing depression, anxiety and other related distress.
As of October 2022, we have 16 established peer support groups in England.
Our support groups take place on a weekly basis, led by two trained volunteers. Our volunteers do not provide advice or counsel, instead they are trained in active listening to effectively manage the meeting space.
At PeerTalk, we want to raise awareness about depression and reduce the stigma associated with it. We pride ourselves in the safe, friendly, supportive, respectful and non-judgemental environment that our volunteers make happen at our meetings.
