Die PJF versteht sich als „Umbrella-Organisation“ für Einzelkämpfer und kleine, unbekannte Aktivisten-Gruppen und wird über Umwelt- und Artenschutz nicht nur reden, sondern ihn effektiv umsetzen.
Dafür werden Menschen und Organisationen unterstützt, die nicht über üppige Spendensummen verfügen und an vorderster Front - oft unter Lebensgefahr - für die Erhaltung der Natur, für das Überleben bedrohter Spezies und gegen die Ausbeutung unserer „Mutter Erde“ kämpfen.
Nach 40 Jahren Umweltaktivismus und 20 Jahren Doku-Filmerei hat Hannes Jaenicke die Erfahrung gemacht, dass je kleiner und lokaler die NGO, desto wirkungsvoller, effektiver & erfolgreicher. Aber diese sind oft weitestgehend unbekannt, fast immer chronisch unterfinanziert und meist auch von WWF, Greenpeace, etc. nicht gedeckt.

Ziel muss es sein, mehr Flächen und Habitats zu verteidigen, zu schützen, zu renaturieren, zu konservieren. Egal, ob es durch Einrichtung von neuen Nationalparks, Biosphären-Reservaten, Naturschutzgebieten oder durch Rewilding und Renaturierung geschieht. Die PJF wird entsprechende Organisationen begleiten und unterstützen.
