The Panhellenic Association of Translators (PEM) was established in 1963 and is the oldest professional association of translators and interpreters in Greece.
Based in Thessaloniki, but with a nationwide and European reach and an international perspective, our mission is to promote excellence in and the safe and beneficial performance of translation, interpreting and other linguistic professions.
We are a member of the International Federation of Translators (FIT), the leading association representing the interests of language professionals across the globe. PEM members have been elected to the Board of FIT Mundus (2014-2017) and the Board of FIT Europe (2017-2020).
Since 2019, PEM is also a member of the European Legal Interpreters and Translators Association (EULITA), an organization representing the interests of national associations of legal interpreters and translators.
PEM members provide translation-related services in over 30 languages and multiple language combinations.

Η Πανελλήνια Ένωση Μεταφραστών (ΠΕΜ) ιδρύθηκε το 1963 και είναι η αρχαιότερη ένωση επαγγελματιών μεταφραστών και διερμηνέων στην Ελλάδα, με έδρα τη Θεσσαλονίκη και δράση και εμβέλεια πανελλήνια και ευρωπαϊκή, με διεθνή οπτική.
Αποστολή της είναι να προάγει την άρτια, ασφαλή και επωφελή άσκηση της μετάφρασης, της διερμηνείας και όσων γλωσσικών επαγγελμάτων απορρέουν από αυτές.
Η ΠΕΜ είναι μέλος της Διεθνούς Ομοσπονδίας Μεταφραστών (FIT), του κορυφαίου συλλογικού οργάνου εκπροσώπησης των γλωσσικών επαγγελμάτων διεθνώς. Μέλη της Ένωσης εκλέχθηκαν στο ΔΣ της FIT Mundus (2014–2017) και το ΔΣ της FIT Europe (2017–2020).
Από το 2019 η ΠΕΜ είναι επίσης μέλος της Ευρωπαϊκής Ένωσης Νομικών Διερμηνέων και Μεταφραστών (EULITA), η οποία υποστηρίζει και εκπροσωπεί τα συμφέροντα των εθνικών ενώσεων νομικών διερμηνέων και μεταφραστών.
Τα μέλη μας παρέχουν μεταφραστικές υπηρεσίες σε πάνω από 30 διαφορετικές γλώσσες και πολλαπλάσια γλωσσικά ζεύγη.
